Your stay at The Tundra Buggy Lodge brings you right into the heart of polar bear country. This unique, immersive experience allows guests to fall asleep and wake up with polar bears right outside their window and, on a clear night, the northern lights may even dance above, unhindered from the lights of town.

For an unobstructed 360º view of the tundra beneath the northern lights, guests can climb up the spiral staircase from the outdoor viewing platform of the Thanadelthur Lounge to the rooftop observation deck. It is a great place for wildlife viewing, panoramic shots and northern lights photography.

Thanadelthur Lounge at the Tundra Buggy Lodge
Named after an important Churchill figure, the Thanadelthur Lounge is a place for relaxation, presentations, wildlife and northern lights viewing and more. With panoramic views from the wall-to-ceiling windows, it also has a rooftop observation deck for a 360° view of the tundra, wildlife or an unobstructed view of the northern lights. It also has WiFi accessibility, a robust audio system and a multi-touch SmartBoard screen for presentations by staff and species experts from Polar Bears International.

Dan’s Diner at the Tundra Buggy Lodge
Catch a glimpse of the Tundra Buggy Lodge's private chef serving up regional cuisine and hearty, home-cooked favourites in the dining hall, affectionately known as Dan's Diner. Visitors to the lodge are treated to filling breakfasts and delectable dinners alongside their fellow guests to accentuate the days spent wildlife viewing on the tundra.

The two Tundra Buggy Lodge accommodation units, named Hearne and La Perouse after two important figures in Churchill's history, consist of 10 upper and 10 lower sleeping berths, each with its own window, reading light and four electrical 110-volt outlets. The units are humidity and temperature-controlled for comfort and each berth has a sound-dampening, privacy curtain, separating it from the aisle. Bedding, towels and earplugs are also provided for comfort. In addition, each 20-person accommodation unit has three bathrooms, two of which are equipped with showers.

Each of the Tundra Buggy Lodge's two accommodation units has a cloakroom, with benches and coat hooks for guests' winter gear and other storage.
