Gear Rentals

Now that you've watched our video and have an idea of what you need to wear, let us offer a helping hand: to make packing for your adventure to Churchill a little bit easier, we are happy to offer our guests outstanding Canada Goose parkas and snow pants, and Baffin boots through our Gear Rental Program. 

Rental items will be picked up from the Frontiers North Gear Rental space (2nd floor of the Lakeview Signature Trademark Collection by Wyndham hotel) on the evening of your meet and greet (rental fees begin the morning you fly to Churchill - you will not be charged a rental fee for the first evening). Immediately upon returning to Winnipeg at the end of your trip, your rented gear items must be brought back to the Gear Rental space (2nd floor of the Wyndham hotel) by 9:30 p.m.

Please note the following measuring instructions when using the sizing charts below:

• Waist: Measure the circumference around your waist, across your belly button.
• Chest: Place measuring tape 2.5 cm (1 in) below your arm pit and measure the circumference around your chest.
• Hips: 23 cm (9 in) down from top of waist, measure your circumference.

Parka - Canada Goose 'Ontario' & ‘Constable’ Parkas:

• All parkas are unisex sizing
• Three-quarter length to keep your bottom warm when seated
• Draw cord waist to stop drafting up your back
• Large cargo pockets to store cameras, mittens and toque
• Extended, snug cuffs keeping warmth in and overlapping with your mitts
• Removable fur rim for those who prefer to not wear it (please note not all parkas have fur)
• Interior pocket to keep batteries and small devices close to your body and warm
• Parka style and colour not guaranteed

Snow Pants - Canada Goose 'Tundra' Bib Overall:

• All pants are unisex
• Front cargo pockets secured with snaps; additional brushed tricot exterior pocket
• Reinforced inseam hem panels
• Reflective tape on lower side zipper placket
• Adjustable waist draw cord provides added warmth
• Two interior mesh kidney pouch pockets
• Heavy-duty, center front 1-way, YKK locking zipper
• Please note all pants are black and come in bib and non-bib styles (the bib style is not guaranteed).

Pant Measurements

Boots - Baffin 'Impact' series:

• Temperature Rating: -100°C/-148°F
• Base: Integrated Arctic Flex rubber base
• Insole: Waffle sole with anatomical foot bed
• Outsole: Premium polar rubber
• Liner: 8-layer inner boot system with Thermaplush
• Uppers: Timberwolf leather and Diamond-Lite insulated nylon
• Available in men's size 7 - 14 and women's size 6 - 11
• Please note all boots are black
• Boots tend to fit a little narrow, if you typically wear a half size, we recommend going up a size
  (ie: if you normally wear a 7.5 boot, we would recommend reserving a size 8 boot)

2024 Gear Rental Fees

Outerwear rental requests are considered on a first-come first-serve basis. Please make sure you consult our sizing charts before submitting your rental request. Of note, the chest circumference measurement may seem large. It is allowing ample room for mid-layers. 

Please note that Gear Rentals are not available for Tundra Buggy Day Tours or the One Day Polar Bear Adventure. Gear may not be pictured exactly as above as we utilize a variety of styles.
