Frontiers North's Digital Asset Library Usage Guidelines

We have created a Digital Asset Library to help provide you with the images and videos you need to promote, share and tell stories about Frontiers North Adventures.

Before using our Digital Asset Library, you must read Frontiers North’s Digital Asset License Agreement. All images and videos in Frontiers North’s Digital Asset Library at frontiersnorth.photoshelter.com​ are published under this license.

How to Register for Frontiers North’s Digital Asset Library

To register for access to our Digital Asset Library, follow these two easy steps:

1. Click here to sign up. Once you sign up, you will receive an email with a link to activate your membership.
    
2. Once your registration is approved*, you will receive an email with a link to your image collection(s).

*Please note: It can take up to 5 business days to gain access to our invited galleries. If your request is urgent, please contact [email protected].

How to Credit

The most important aspect of the usage of Frontiers North’s digital assets is properly crediting the photographer or videographer (hereinafter referred to as the “content creator”).

Proper, visible credit must be given with each use of Frontiers North’s digital assets both electronically and in print, i.e. the content creator’s full name followed by ‘Frontiers North Adventures’.

When using videos the credit(s) must appear in the end credits.

If you do not follow these guidelines, the content creator in question has the right to demand compensation.

Special Requests

Extended Usage Rights

You may be interested in using one of the images or videos in Frontiers North’s Digital Asset Library in a way that is not covered by Frontiers North Adventures’ Digital Asset License Agreement.

If this is the case, you must make an agreement with the copyright owner and make a new contract, which may include a fee for the extended usage rights. If you cannot find their contact information online, you can contact us at [email protected] and ask us to contact the photographer on your behalf.

Specific Asset Requests

You may be interested in using one of more images or videos that cannot be found in Frontiers North’s Digital Asset Library.

If this is the case, you may send your request to [email protected] along with the following project details:

• Digital asset(s) description. This can be a URL, screenshot or detailed description of the asset(s) you are requesting.
• Requested by. Please include first and last name, company/organization name and email address.
• Intended use. Please provide a detailed description and be as specific as possible.
• Date asset(s) required

Please note that provision of the requested asset(s) depends on a number of factors and is not guaranteed. Frontiers North may provide an alternative asset at its sole discretion.

Unlicensed use

Remember that extensive cropping, colour grading or other manipulation of the images is not permitted under the Frontiers North Adventures’ Digital Asset License Agreement. Furthermore, proper, visible credit must be given with each use of Frontiers North’s digital assets both electronically and in print, i.e. the photographer’s name followed by ‘Frontiers North Adventures’ (eg. © Jane Smith/Frontiers North Adventures”). When using videos the credit(s) must appear in the end credits.

It should be noted that any commercial use, apart from the marketing of Frontiers North Adventures products, requires ‘extended usage rights’, which may be acquired by direct negotiation with the copyright holder, as outlined above.
