We Make A Positive Impact
We are a Certified B Corporationâ„¢
Section #01
Since 2020, Frontiers North Adventures has been a Certified B Corporation™, a designation for businesses committed to using business as a force for good. We’ve improved our score from 81.5 in our initial certification to 105.3 in 2023, a 29% increase!
Key Changes Contributing to Our Score Increase:
We amended our Articles of Incorporation to align with B Corp™ legal guidelines, reinforcing our commitment to balancing profit with purpose and considering the impact of our decisions on people, the planet, and our communities.
We’re committed to turning existing practices into formal policies for our guests, staff, and operations. Formalizing these policies ensures we’re held accountable to the standards we set and the values we promote—turning intention into action.
We prioritize supporting local and Indigenous suppliers whenever possible, helping to strengthen communities, promote economic sustainability and foster meaningful partnerships.
We’ve hired a full-time Sustainability Analyst to guide our sustainable policies, track our resource consumption, and help drive meaningful improvements. Additionally, we partner with a third-party company to calculate our annual GHG emissions, which we report transparently in our Impact Reports.
Environmental Stewardship
Section #02
CARBON OFFSET STATEMENT
Instead of investing in carbon offsets, we have chosen to invest in Churchill-based tourism infrastructure and field level conservation programs. This includes our support for environmental initiatives with Polar Bears International, Rainforest Foundation, and Assiniboine Park Conservancy. This decision was not made lightly as we understand that being carbon-neutral can be a powerful selling tool. Our priority has been to ensure that the funds we invest in offsets, carbon or otherwise, benefit the communities and environments we call home, and to reinforce the support for our allies in conservation.
Reducing our GHG Emissions
We track all of our energy consumption and are always looking for opportunities to improve. Currently, 24% of our total energy use comes from hydroelectric power—a renewable energy source that harnesses the power of moving water to generate electricity. In Manitoba, hydroelectricity is the primary source of power. Transitioning from fossil fuels to electricity wherever possible is a key step in reducing overall greenhouse gas emissions.
We are proud to have three EV Tundra Buggies in our fleet and continue to introduce more efficient options across all our infrastructure. It is estimated that operating each EV Tundra Buggy will eliminate 15.74 tonnes of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions over the course of an entire operating year.
We are committed to linking our actions to science and research by working alongside and supporting leading experts in conservation. Through these collaborations, we ensure our efforts are informed, impactful, and grounded in the latest scientific understanding.Visit our Conservation page.
Since 2013, we’ve proudly upheld a no plastic water bottle policy, and have since expanded our efforts by introducing compostable containers and other sustainable alternatives into our operations. We’re committed to continually reassessing and exploring innovative ways to reduce waste and lessen our environmental impact.

Frontiers North Adventures specializes in the destination of Churchill and we operate exclusively in Manitoba. That means all of our energy, focus, and investment stay in this province — supporting local tourism, strengthening the communities we work and live in, and contributing to where you travel.
As we don’t operate tours anywhere else in the world, you can be confident that your travel dollars remain right here, where you travelled — helping sustain the land, people, and experiences that make your journey meaningful.
