General Health
POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
Frontiers North will comply with all local and international health regulations and guidelines. We will continue to update our policies and procedures based on guest feedback and emerging best practices. All vehicles, equipment, and accommodations will be cleaned regularly and high-touch areas will be sanitized frequently. We appreciate the cooperation of all our guests to minimize the spread of infection and contaminants.
Guests are responsible to contact their medical practitioner to ensure that they have all up-to-date medical travel information and any necessary vaccinations prior to departure. It is advised that guests carry any personal medication in the original packaging, and check to ensure that there are no travel restrictions with the medication they are carrying. Please ensure that you bring the necessary quantity of personal medication that you will need for the duration of your travel.
Food and Dietary
As part of your adventure, you will enjoy some wonderful food. We ask that you notify your Adventure Planner if you have any dietary requirements and/or food allergies during your booking process.
Transport
Whether on our charter plane, aboard a Tundra Buggy, or somewhere in between, our private transport vehicles will be cleaned and high touch surfaces sanitized. Hand sanitizer is available on all vehicles.
Accommodations
The Tundra Buggy Lodge and Tundra Inn hotel have been Clean It Right certified since 2020. All full time staff are trained in an enhanced cleaning education and awareness program. Each of the Lodge units - Dan’s Diner, Thanadelthur Lounge, and Hearne and La Perouse sleeping quarters - are equipped with an intake system to draw in fresh air at regular intervals. The units undergo enhanced cleaning daily. The bathrooms are deep cleaned daily and sanitizer is available to guests throughout the lounge.
Meal Services
Food is prepared in accordance with Manitoba Health guidelines for food establishments. To minimize the potential for cross-contamination, lunch service aboard our Tundra Buggies includes individually wrapped sandwiches and a soup to be served in individual bowls. All snacks are also packaged individually. All dinnerware, drinkware, cutlery, and serving utensils are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized after each use. Canned beverages, fresh water, and hot beverages are available. Additionally, the Tundra Pub has been Clean It Right certified since 2020, with all full time staff trained in an enhanced cleaning and awareness training program.
