“Wow! Trip of a lifetime from start to finish! We stayed 3 nights on the tundra lodge. The accommodations, food, tundra buggy, lounge, diner, cultural presentations were all beyond our expectations. Mark, our driver, and Jason, our guide, were outstanding, knowledgeable, passionate and great story tellers with a witty sense of humor. We saw polar bears, red fox, arctic hare and amazing scenery and even the Northern Lights!! We are currently in our post-trip mode of feeling great sadness to leave but true gratefulness to have had this very special experience. We hope to return one day - this time for belugas! ”

We had a wonderful trip. I could not have asked for more. We saw so many bears but lots of other special wildlife. I would like to give a special endorsement for our guide Dave and buggy driver Bob. They are who made it such a great trip. Also the tundra lodge staff were the best, including such yummy food in the middle of no where.”

“I wanted to let you know that our polar bear experience was amazing and exceeded our expectations. Our guide Nic was amazing. Also, our driver Mark, complimented Nic. Between the two of them, we had the best experience anyone could have hoped for. The crew at the Tundra Buggy Lodge were fantastic!! The two chefs cooked up a storm of delectable delights for us and Joyce and Jordan were so sweet and accommodating, everyone fed off their energy. Joyce put together a Halloween party for everyone after dinner...it was so much fun!! They made us all feel like family and everyone, Nic, Mark, Jordan, Joyce, and the chefs went above and beyond to make sure our experience was 5:star2: star...they did not disappoint. This was our second trip with Frontiers North Adventures. We talked about our Northern Lights trip with the other guests that we took last year, recommending they consider coming back and booking with Frontiers North. We want to thank Frontiers North for two incredible vacation experiences!!!”

“We went for the photo specialist tour at the start of November. We picked the dates after a careful review of when is the best time to see bears, and luckily this paid off and we saw lots of Polar Bears enjoying themselves in the cold weather. They are very curious animals, and great fun to watch. The Tundra Buggy Lodge is slightly different to your usual hotel with bunk beds and shared showers and toilets, but it is certainly the best way to live among the bears as some sleep right beside your window! The food and staff in the lodge were excellent, and wine was served with dinner. The only slight inconvenience was having to wait for a shower at peak times. Overall we had an excellent trip and the Arctic experience was certainly very memorable. Our driver Alex and guide Mike were both very professional and worked hard to make sure we were in the right place to see bears, foxes, ptarmigan, caribou and even a pine marten. It was certainly a very different and special experience. We can strongly recommend visiting the Tundra Buggy Lodge.”

“I just had to write and say what a wonderful time I had (and sister Julie Riley) on the Tundra Buggy Lodge Tour (Saturday 21st October till Thursday 25th October Group 63). It all went very well. Of course the icing on the cake was seeing Polar Bears ( 6 on the first day with 2 being a mother and cub) Of course we appreciate that sightings of polar bears are dependent on the sea ice freezing which it was starting to do. Then followed by a super display of the Northern Lights--again there was not a high likelihood but it happened. Bryan our guide woke us so that we could go on the observation deck to get a stupendous view. I personally could hardly sleep afterwards and had to keep checking the view from my bed through the conveniently placed window. I have seen the Northern Lights in Iceland but only fleetingly--this was absolutely amazing. I have mentioned Bryan, our very knowledgable guide who was also great fun and was making sure that we were looked after and kept informed. I should also mention Bob, our driver who was also very knowledgeable. It was apparent that he was looking out for the mother and cub that had disappeared into the water when another bear approached them. We were not close ( it was explained that we could not leave the track) but again a great privilege.
All the Lodge staff were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. It was apparent that the staff work together like a family. I would also like to mention that the food was excellent and worthy of a first class restaurant. I would have no hesitation in recommending Frontiers North's trips to friends. My trip has made me much more aware of the situation facing the polar bears. I think that I need to save up for a photography trip next !”Sue C, 2023, Tundra Buggy Lodge: Polar Bears
