What to Expect:
Frequently Asked Questions
While the aurora is a natural phenomenon and can’t be guaranteed, Churchill is located directly beneath the Auroral Oval, making it one of the best places on Earth to photograph them. Keep in mind that cameras—whether professional or even smartphones—often capture more vibrant colors than the human eye can see in real time.
The Northern Lights Photo Adventure is designed specifically for photographers—whether you're a seasoned professional or just starting out. You'll be accompanied by a professional photo guide who provides coaching, tips, and support to help you capture the aurora at its best.
Each night, you’ll head to a unique viewing location, well away from the lights of town. The amount of time spent at each site depends on the activity of the aurora—and we make a collective decision as a group when we’re ready to call it a night!
