This exclusive photography adventure offers the rare opportunity to photograph beluga whales, subarctic landscapes, and perhaps even polar bears, all set against the breathtaking beauty of Churchill’s summer season.
During July and August the typically barren tundra bursts into vibrant life, with a stunning variety of wildflowers in bloom and hundreds of migratory birds filling the skies. The long summer days provide endless opportunities to capture the unique contrast between the lush tundra, the pristine waters of the Churchill River, and the wildlife that calls the Churchill Wildlife Management Area (CWMA) home.
Guided by an expert Photo Specialist, this trip is designed with specialized workshops, curated photo drives, and multiple opportunities on the water, ensuring you leave with a collection of breathtaking images that truly capture the essence of Churchill’s dynamic summer landscape.

This adventure is specially designed for photographers, offering extended time in the field and expert guidance from a professional Photo Specialist. The itinerary is crafted around optimal lighting conditions and prime locations to maximize photographic opportunities.
Participants can expect to photograph a variety of wildlife, including multiple opportunities to capture beluga whales in the Churchill River estuary. Polar bears, caribou, Arctic foxes, and many bird species may also be spotted. While wildlife sightings are never guaranteed, that’s part of what makes the experience so special.
Stunning landscapes, vibrant sunsets, and blooming tundra flora offer additional photographic opportunities. If conditions permit, northern lights photography may also be possible.
Historic sites such as the Prince of Wales Fort provide unique and interesting photo subjects as well.
