Marketing and Communications Coordinator – Full time, temporary (one-year) term


We are seeking a Marketing and Communications Coordinator to temporarily join our team to cover maternity leave. This position is predominantly responsible for traditional consumer marketing including direct marketing, print and collateral production in region. Working cross-functionally with the marketing team, the role will also focus on expanding our client database, contact strategy both on and offline, and executing marketing activities to meet business goals. This role is also responsible for creating and maintaining reports to show marketing performance.

This position reports to the Manager, Marketing and Communications (MMC).


  • Develop a consumer marketing plan with the MMC
  • Contribute to overall customer journey by overseeing and executing all database marketing
  • Work with sales and marketing team to increase contactable database size and perform database maintenance
  • Manage offline and online advertising
  • Identify opportunities, support and execute implementation of promotions
  • Create and execute effective print media and direct mail initiatives with compelling messaging and graphic design, including corporate marketing and guest materials
  • Work on all direct mail fulfillment and mailing strategy
  • Evaluate print media and direct mail results and adjust campaigns accordingly
  • Work with digital team on consumer campaigns and overall performance reporting
  • Develop the analytical framework to analyze marketing ROI with the MMC
  • Manage all consumer shows where we have a presence
  • Generate inspirational content and press releases for various marketing initiatives
  • Work with the MMC to build and manage media database and respond to media inquiries
  • Provide support for hosting media guests on FAMs
  • Track media exposure through maintenance of a database of media mentions
  • Provides expertise to project teams as required

You bring:

  • Post-secondary education in marketing and/or communications, or other relevant field
  • 2+ years’ experience in a marketing or communications position
  • A creative, positive and innovative attitude
  • Hands-on experience creating and managing campaigns, ads and copywriting including proven experience for print, copywriting/editing for website and blogs
  • Strong computer skills (Mac preferred) including proven experience with Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to problem-solve effectively

The following skills are considered an asset, but not required:

  • Experience with HubSpot
