Once again Frontiers North Adventures will be running our popular One Day Polar Bear Adventure in support of Assiniboine Park Conservancy. This one day excursion out of Winnipeg combines education and adventure to create a unique experience in the heart of Polar Bear Country.
Guests will join Dr. Stephen Petersen, Head of Conservation and Research at Assiniboine Park Zoo and/or a representative from Assiniboine Park Conservancy (APC) on a one-day excursion to Churchill, Manitoba. For each guest on the tour, Frontiers North Adventures will donate $150 to Assiniboine Park Conservancy*.

Our One Day Polar Bear Adventure includes:
- Round-trip airfare to Churchill from Winnipeg
- A full-day wildlife viewing on a Tundra Buggy® in the Churchill Wildlife Management Area
- A picnic lunch on the tundra and a light dinner
- Churchill transfers
The cost is $1,799 CDN per person, which includes a $150 donation to the Assiniboine Park Conservancy. Departures are available on:

A key component of the Journey to Churchill exhibit, the Leatherdale International Polar Bear Conservation Centre is a hub for environmental and wildlife education, research and conservation. This state-of-the-art facility ensures that Manitoba remains a centre of global influence in polar bear conservation while providing a unique experience for Manitoban families and visitors alike.
Dr. Stephen Petersen has been a wildlife biologist for more than 20 years and is the Director of Conservation and Research for Assiniboine Park Zoo. The Conservation and Research Department runs active field and zoo based research programs from the labs and offices at the Leatherdale International Polar Bear Conservation Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba. His department has a strong focus on the ecology, behaviour and genetics of Arctic marine mammals and has been conducting research in Churchill for almost a decade.
Assiniboine Park Conservancy is the not-for-profit entity responsible for the redevelopment and ongoing operation of Winnipeg’s historic Assiniboine Park and Assiniboine Park Zoo. The Zoo has undergone a dramatic transformation in the last five years including significant renovations, new exhibits and enhanced facilities for visitors. At the forefront is the Zoo’s commitment and contribution to environmental and wildlife education, research and conservation in Manitoba and beyond.
